Joel Torgeson grew up in rural Minnesota, where he developed a love for dance when he was encouraged to try out the University of Minnesota Ballroom Dance Club. His passion for dance only grew from there, leading him to become a current West Coast Swing Champion dancer. While training for over a decade in WCS, Ballroom, and other forms of dance, Joel also graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts. In addition to his dance pursuits, Joel has managed the Children’s Fitness programs at My Gym Enterprises, runs Feather Three, a dancewear brand, and shares his thoughts on dance and life through his blog. Fun fact: Joel is engaged to GSBA Faculty Chantelle Pianetta!
